A solution of 4-[5-(3-benzyloxyfuro[3,2-c]pyridin-2-yl)-[1,2,4]oxadiazol-3-ylmethyl]-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (Example 120, 200 mg, 500 μmol) and Pd (10% on C, 10 mg) in EtOH (10 mL) was stirred under a H2 atmosphere for 2.5 h. The mixture was diluted with CH2Cl2, to solubilise the product, before being filtered through celite. The filtrate was concentrated to furnish the title compound: RT=2.87 min; m/z (ES+)=401.1 [M+H]+.
