Reaction Steps

To a solution of compound 8a (10 g) in acetonitrile (100 mL) was added isoamylnitrite (4.0 g) at 10-30° C. The reaction mixture was stirred at 50-70° C. for 3-5 h. The reaction was monitored by TLC. After completion, the reaction was quenched with 10% aqueous NaHSO3 (10 ml) and concentrated under reduced pressure. The obtained residue was extracted with ethyl acetate (10 vol). The extract was washed with water and then concentrated at reduced pressure to provide the product (9.5 g, 92.68%).
