3-Amino-6-bromo-5-trifluoromethyl-pyridine-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (Intermediate 3D) (100 mg, 0.334 mmol) was dissolved in 5M HCl (2.5 ml) and heated at 150° C., 5.5 bar in the microwave for 1 hour.
