The title compound was prepared according to the procedure described in Example 223 by LAH reduction of ethyl 3-(4-((3-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-fluorothiophen-2-yl)methoxy)-3,5-difluoro phenyl)propanoate to give the desired product as off-white oil. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CD3OD) δ7.40-7.52 (m, 4H), 6.83 (d, J=9.6 Hz, 2H), 6.67 (s, 1H), 5.08 (s, 2H), 3.57 (t, J=6.6 Hz, 2H), 2.659 (t, J=7.5 Hz, 2H), 1.77-1.86 (m, 2H). Mass spectrum (ESI, m/z): Calcd. for: C20H16ClF3O2S, 225.0 (M-C9H9F2O2). found 224.9.
