Reaction Steps

The two title compounds were prepared according to the procedure described in Example 127, following Steps 6-7, coupling [3-chloro-5-(4-methylphenyl)-1,2-thiazol-4-yl]methanol with a mixture of ethyl 3-[2-(1,1-difluoroethyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl]propanoate (255g) and ethyl 3-[2-(1-fluoroethyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl]propanoate (255h). Upon hydrolysis and purification, the desired products were each isolated as an off-white solid.
