Reaction Steps
1 g of sunitinib base was dissolved in 3 ml of N-methyl pirrolidone, at RT 0.336 g of Malic acid added (as solid): the solution was heated to 40° C. than 15 ml of toluene was added and precipitation was observed. The suspension was kept at 40° C. for 1 hour than cooled to 0° C., filtered and washed with toluene. Dried at 60° C. under vacuum for 16 h.
