A suspension of the 5-{[2-chloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]carbonyl}-4-methyl-1-pyrazin-2-yl-4,5-dihydro-1H-[1,2,3]triazolo[4,5-c]pyridine (150 mg, 0.36 mmol) in MeOH (3.0 mL) and THF (1.0 mL) was treated with 10% Pd/C (30 mg), put under an atmosphere of H2 and stirred overnight. The reaction was filtered through Celite© and purified on 12 g SiO2 with 0-70% EA/DCM. MS (ESI): mass calcd. for C18H14ClF3N6O, 422.1. m/z found, 423.1 [M+H]+.
