95.9 mg (0.25 mmol) of N-[(3R)-1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-3-yl]-7-(2-methoxyphenyl)-1-benzofuran-2-carboxamide (Example 130) are dissolved in 1.5 ml of acetone. After addition of 22.9 mg (0.25 mmol) of oxalic acid in 1 ml of hot isopropanol, the mixture is stirred at 50° C. for 30 min and then concentrated, and the residue is dried under high vacuum. 117.6 mg (99% of theory) of the title compound are obtained.
