Reaction Steps

The product of Example 28 (674 mg) was dissolved in tetrahydrofuran (20 ml) and LiA1H(OtBu)3 (4 ml of 1M solution in tetrahydrofuran) was added. The mixture was heated at 55° C. under an atmosphere of nitrogen for 17 hrs. The reaction was quenched with water, concentrated in vacuo and purified via chromatography, eluting with 1:1 diethyl ether:isohexane to give the title compound (392 mg).
