NaBH4 (13.7 mg) was added to a solution of 6-[4-(2-formyl-phenyl)benzyl]-8-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-1,8-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]-nonane-7,9-dione (0.178 mg) in THF (5 mL) at 0° C. After stirring for 30 minutes, the reaction mixture was diluted with water and extracted with EtOAc. The extract was washed with brine, dried (Na2SO4), filtered, and concentrated. Purification by chromatography (Silica gel: EtOAc/hexane: 1/2, Chromatotron) afforded the titled compound (167 mg). MS (m/z) 477 (M+-OH).
