Reaction Steps
Using General Procedure F; benzyl-[1-(4-ethynylphenyl)-cyclopropyl]-methylamine (Intermediate 132, 70.0 mg, 0.28 mmol) and ethyl-4-iodo benzoate (Reagent A, 77.0 mg, 0.28 mmol) in triethylamine (5 mL) was treated with copper(I)iodide (18.0 mg, 0.10 mmol) and sparged with argon for minutes. Dichlorobis (triphenylphosphine)palladium(II) (65 mg, 0.10 mmol) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature. Column chromatography (2-5% EtOAc-hexanes) afforded 86 mg (75%) of the title compound as an oil.
