Reaction Steps
A solution of 4 N hydrochloric acid in ethyl acetate (10 ml) was added to a solution of 1-[4-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)benzyl]-4-(6-chloronaphthalene-2-sulfonyl)-2-piperazinone (530 mg) in methanol (2 ml), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. The reaction solution was concentrated, and the resulting crystals were filtered, washed with ethyl acetate-ether and dried to give the title compound (457 mg).
