Following the general procedure of Example 41, making non-critical variations but starting with 3-benzoyl-9-fluoro-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexahydroazepino[4,5-b]indole and using maleic acid for the salt formation, the title compound was obtained (mp 242-244° C. [dec.]). 1H NMR (d-DMSO) δ 9.18, 7.67, 7.21, 4.40, 3.33, 3.25, 3.12, 3.04; IR (drift) 3358, 2970, 2959, 2830, 2792, 2785, 2752, 1681, 1593, 1490, 1464, 1383, 1330, 1216, 907 cm−1.
