A solution of ethyl 3-[5-(5-{5-chloro-6-[(1-methylethyl)oxy]-3-pyridinyl}-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl)-1H-indazol-1-yl]-2,2-dimethylpropanoate (D111) (100 mg, 0.21 mmol) in Ethanol (2 ml) was treated with a 2M sodium hydroxide aqueous solution (1 ml) and heated at 80° C. with stirring for 4 hours. The reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature and diluted with water (5 ml). The aqueous solution was acidified with glacial acetic acid, and extracted with EtOAc (2×10 ml). The combined organic phases were dried over MgSO4 and concentrated in vacuo. Purification of the residue by MDAP gave the desired product (3 mg, 3%) as a colourless solid. MS (ES): C22H22ClN5O4 requires 455; found (MH+) 456.
