Procedure

1-(2-(3-azidopropyl)-5-(2,5-difluorophenyl)-2-phenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-3(2H)-yl)-2-methylpropan-1-one (94 mg, 0.21 mmol) was weighed into a 25 mL 1 neck round bottom, and dissolved in 7 mL of MeOH—HCl (0.547 ml, 1.094 mmol) and Pd/C (23 mg, 0.021 mmol) were then added. The reaction was stirred at ambient temperature and under an atmosphere of H2 for 45 minutes. The reaction was then concentrated affording the desired product (92.7 mg, 96%).
