Reaction Steps

To a mixture of [(6,8-dichloro-4-hydroxy-2-oxo-2H-chromene-3-carbonyl)-amino]-acetic acid (100 mg, 0.30 mmol) in ethanol (6 mL) was added SOCl2 dropwise. Resulting mixture was refluxed for 1.5 h. After cooled, white precipitate was collected, rinsed with ethanol and dried to give the title compound (94 mg). MS ESI(+) m/e: 362, 360 (M+1).
