5-(3-Cyclopentyl-propoxy)-2,2-dimethyl-benzo[1,3]dioxin-4-one was prepared from 5-hydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-benzo[1,3]dioxin-4-one and 3-Cyclopentyl-propan-1-ol under conditions analogous to example 51-a. 1H NMR (200 MHz, CDCl3): δ (ppm)=7.39 (t, J=8.4 Hz, 1H), 6.57 (d, J=8.5 Hz, 1H), 6.50 (d, J=8.2 Hz, 1H), 4.05 (t, J=7.0 Hz, 2H), 1.94-1.47 (m, 11H), 1.69 (s, 6H), 1.12 (m, 2H).
