Above 2-{4-[8-(2-chloro-benzenesulfonyl)-1-oxo-2,8-diaza-spiro[4.5]dec-2-yl]-phenyl}-N-hydroxy-acetamidine (150 mg) were treated at RT with acetic anhydride (40 ml) and then refluxed for 30 minutes. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo, the residue purified by chromatography on silica gel to give the desired 8-(2-chloro-benzenesulfonyl)-2-[4-(5-methyl-[1,2,4]oxadiazol-3-ylmethyl)-phenyl]-2,8-diaza-spiro[4.5]decan-1-one as a light yellow crystalline solid. MS (ESI): 502.1 (MH+).
