Stir a solution of 3′-chloro-4-[6-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-2-(3-(R)-methyl-morpholin-4-yl)-pyrimidin-4-yl]-3-methyl-3,4,5,6-tetrahydro-2H-[1,2′]bipyrazinyl-5′-carboxylic acid methyl ester (500 mg) in a mixture of 10% NaOH (6 mL) and EtOH (20 mL) at room temperature for 16 h. Bring the mixture to pH 4 with 6 N HCl and extract the solution with EtOAc. Dry the organic layer (Na2SO4) and concentrate under reduced pressure to give the title compound.
