Dissolve tert-butyl N-[4-[(2-chloro-4-pyridyl)oxy]-2-fluoro-phenyl]carbamate (13 g, 14.7 mmol), cyclopropanecarboxamide (8.1 g, 36.7 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (240 mL). Then add tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium(0) [Pd2(dba)3, 1.75 g, 0.73 mmol), (±)-2,2′-bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,1′-binaphthalene (BINAP, 2.38 g, 1.47 mmol) and Cs2CO3 (24.8 g, 29.4 mmol) under N2. Stir the reaction at 100° C. for 12 hrs. Cool to room temperature, filter, and concentrate the filtrate to give the crude product. Purification by chromatography (silica gel, DCM:EtOAc-1:5) affords the title compound (12.14 g, 83.2%). MS: (M+1): 388.
