Reaction Steps
7-Methoxy-1,1-dimethyl-3,4-dihydro-1H-naphthalen-2-one (Compound A2, 3.37 g, 16.5 mmol) was dissolved in CH3CN (82 mL), added with NCS (2.42 g, 1.1 eq.) and stirred at 90° C. for 1.5 hours. The reaction solution was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with brine and dried over sodium sulfate. The drying agent was removed and the target compound was obtained after concentration under reduced pressure (yellow oily substance, 4.45 g).
