To a mixture of 6-((4-chlorobenzyl)oxy)pyrimidin-4(3H)-one (150 mg), (2-cyclopropyl-3-methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-6-yl)boronic acid (275 mg), DCM (15 ml) and MeOH (15 ml) were added copper acetate (346 mg) and pyridine (0.5 ml), and the resulting reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 16 h. The solids were then filtered through Celite, and the filtrate was poured into 1 M HCl. The mixture was extracted with DCM, and the combined DCM layer was washed successively with saturated NaHCO3 solution, brine, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated in vacuo. The crude product was purified by preparative HPLC to give the title compound (15 mg) as an off-white solid.
