Procedure
To a solution of ((1-(2-cyclopropyl-1-methyl-1H-benzimidazol-6-yl)-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridin-4-yl)oxy)acetonitrile (300 mg) in MeOH (4 ml) was added sodium methoxide (2.5 mg), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 h. NH4Cl (52.6 mg) was added to the mixture, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The solvent was evaporated, and the residual solid was washed with IPA-IPE to give the title compound (368 mg) as a light brown solid.
