Reaction Steps

Formic acid (3 mL, 78 mmol) was added to an acetonitrile solution (3 mL) of the intermediate from Step A (200 mg, 0.371 mmol). The reaction mixture was heated at 80° C. for 1.5 hours in a screw cap vial. The mixture was cooled, concentrated in vacuo and the residue diluted with EtOAc. The solution was then washed with saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate, water and brine. The organic phase was dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered and concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound as a pale yellow solid which was used in the next step without further purification. m/z=513.97 (M+H).
