Reaction Steps

Compound from step B (97 mg, 0.18 mmol) was treated with 7.0 M NH3 in MeOH (1.8 ml) for 1 hour. The reaction was concentrated under vacuum, and the residue was purified by flash chromatography (12 g SiO2, 0-12% MeOH:CH2Cl2), suspended in H2O, and lyophilized to give (3S,4R,5R,6S)-6-[4-chloro-3-(4-ethoxy-benzyl)-phenyl]-3,4,5-trihydroxy-tetrahydro-pyran-2-one oxime (57 mg, 0.14 mmol, 77%) as a white solid.
