Compound from step E (50 mg) in methanol and acetic acid (25 uL) was treated 5% wet Pd—C (10 mg) under H2 atmosphere for 4 h. The reaction mixture was filtered through a pad of celite and concentrated. Chromatography on silica gel (10 to 100% acetonitrile containing 0.1% ammonium acetate/water gradient) provided (2S,3S,4R,5R,6R)-2-[3-(4-ethoxy-benzyl)-phenyl]-6-hydroxymethyl-1-methyl-piperidine-3,4,5-triol (6 mg, 70%).
