To a solution of tert-butyl spiro[piperidine-4,4′-pyrazolo[1,5-d]pyrido[2,3-b][1,4]oxazine]-1-carboxylate (35 mg, 0.10 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (1 mL) and MeOH (0.1 mL) was added HCl in dioxane (256 μL of 4 M, 1.02 mmol) and the mixture was stirred at 40° C. for 4 hours. The reaction mixture was evaporated and the hydrochloric acid salt of the product was used without further purification. ESI-MS m/z calc. 242.1, found 243.5 (M+1)+. Retention time: 0.32 minutes (3 min run).
