Procedure

3-ethoxy-4-[(11-hydroxyundecyl)oxy]benzaldehyde is prepared starting from 3-ethoxy-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde and 11-bromoundecan-1-ol according the same procedure following for example 7 in 95% yield.
