6-chloro-3-iodoimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine (1.00 g, 4.30 mmol, 1.0 equiv), in acetonitrile (20 mL), was added 1H-indol-5-yl-5-boronic acid (1.04 g, 6.45 mmol, 1.5 equiv), bis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II) chloride (157 mg, 0.215 mmol, 0.05 equiv), then sodium carbonate (4.83 mL, 1.0 M aqueous solution, 2.0 equiv). The reaction mixture heated in the microwave at 150° C. for 20 min. Purification by column chromatography using 2% methanol in dichloromethane elutions gave 1.04 g of the white solid, 60%.
