To a solution of (4-(1-(2,6-difluorophenyl)-4-oxo-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]pyridin-3-yl)phenyl)acetonitrile (80.0 mg) obtained in Example 39 in DMSO (0.8 mL) was added potassium carbonate (36.6 mg), and then 30% aqueous hydrogen peroxide (0.068 mL) was added thereto. The reaction mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature. To the reaction mixture was added water, and the white precipitate was collected by filtration, washed with water, and dried in vacuum to give the title compound (7.5 mg).
