Compound 52 was prepared from pentanamide and 4-(diethylamino)benzaldehyde using method 1. Yield: 69%. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD) δ 7.18 (d, J=8.8 Hz, 2H), 6.71 (d, J=8.8 Hz, 2H), 6.58 (t, J=8.4 Hz, 1H), 3.33-3.41 (m, 4H), 2.25 (t, J=7.2 Hz, 4H), 1.58-1.66 (m, 4H), 1.33-1.43 (m, 4H), 1.14 (t, J=7.2 Hz, 6H), 0.95 (t, J=2.8 Hz, 6H). LC-MS (ESI): m/z 362.2 (M+H)+. HRMS (ESI) for C21H36N3O2 (MH+): calcd, 362.2802. found 362.2792.
