Reaction Steps
To a solution of 1-(2,4-difluoro-phenyl)-5-[3-(5-formyl-pyridin-2-yl)-phenyl]-3-pentafluoroethyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole (20 mg, 0.04 mmol) prepared in Example 79 in ethanol (1 mL), was slowly added sodium borohydride (6.0 mg, 0.16 mmol) at 0° C. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour, quenched with a 1N hydrochloric acid solution, and then extracted with ethyl acetate three times. The combined extract was washed with brine, dried on anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and then concentrated under reduced pressure to give a residue as a pale yellow liquid. The resulting residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (eluent: ethyl acetate/n-hexane=2/1) to give 3.0 mg of the titled compound as a white solid.
