To tert-butyl 3-((2R)-2-(2,9,9-trimethyl-3,5-dioxa-4-bora-tricyclo[6.1.1.02,6]dec-4-yl)-2-(isoindoline-5-carboxamido)ethyl)-2-methoxybenzoate from Example 9 step 2 (263 mg, 0.46 mmol) in DMF (5 mL) was added K2CO3 (252 mg, 1.84 mmol) and tert-butyl 2-bromoethylcarbamate (122 mg, 0.54 mmol). The resulting reaction was stirred at room temperature overnight. Water (15 mL) was added and the aqueous phase was extracted with EtOAc. The organic phase was washed with 1N HCl, brine, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated in vacuo. The crude product was purified by flash chromatography on silica gel (Hexane/EtOAc, 2:1 to 1:2). ESI-MS m/z 718.1 (MH)+.
