(R)-4-((R)-1-(6-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-methyl-3-((2-(trimethylsilyl)ethoxy)methyl)-3H-imidazo[4,5-c]pyridin-4-yloxy)ethyl)-1-((R)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethyl)pyrrolidin-2-one was dissolved in TFA. Reaction was heated to 60° C. After 6 h, reaction was cooled to r.t. and was concentrated in vacuo. The resulting residue was diluted with EtOAc, brine, and saturated NaHCO3. The phases were separated, and the aqueous phase was extracted with EtOAc. The organic layer was dried over MgSO4, filtered, and concentrated to afford (R)-4-((R)-1-(6-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-methyl-3H-imidazo[4,5-c]pyridin-4-yloxy)ethyl)pyrrolidin-2-one 2.66 that was used without further purification.
