(R)-4-((R)-1-((5-bromo-1-ethyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-7-yl)oxy)ethyl)-1-((R)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethyl)pyrrolidin-2-one (155 mg, 0.319 mmol) in TFA (5 mL) was heated in at 55° C. for 16 h. The reaction mixture was then concentrated to give (R)-4-((R)-1-((5-bromo-1-ethyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-7-yl)oxy)ethyl)pyrrolidin-2-one 2.77 which was used for next step without further purification. LCMS-ESI+ (m/z): 353.0.
