Reaction Steps
0.6 mol of lithium diisopropylamide is added at 0° C. to a mixture of 0.5 mol of 4'-propyl-2',6',3,5-tetrafluorobiphenyl (prepared from 4-propyl-2,6-difluoroiodobenzene and 3,5-difluorophenylboronic acid analogously to Example 23C). 0.5 mol of trimethyl borate and 500 ml of THF, and the mixture is stirred for two hours.
