Reaction Steps
5.0 g (0,013 Mol) of trans-N-(4-chlorobenzoyl)-N-methyl-4-(4-methylaminomethylphenyl)cyclohexylamine, 2.1 g (0.0148 Mol) of potassium carbonate and 2.1 g (0.015 mol) of 3-bromo-1-propanol are stirred together in 30 ml of dimethylformamide at ambient temperature for 40 hours. Then the reaction mixture is poured into water and extracted with ethyl acetate. After washing with water and saturated saline solution the mixture is evaporated down and the residue is purified by column chromatography (aluminium oxide, ethyl acetate/methanol=70:1 to 40:1, v:v). 3.8 g (68% of theory) of the title compound are obtained, melting point 98°-100° C. 1H-NMR spectrum (200 MHz, CDCl3); signals at ppm: 1.35 (m, 1H) , 1.6-2.1 (m, 9H) , 2.2 (2s, 3H) , 2.35-2.55 (m, 1H), 2.6 (t,2H), 2.8-3.1 (m,3H), 3.45 (s,2H), 3.75 (t,2H), 3.6+4.6 (t+m, 1H), 7.0-7.5 (m,8H).
