Reaction Steps
Using a similar procedure to that described in Example 1, 5-iodo-1,3-dimethyl-2,3-dihydrobenzimidazol-2-one was reacted 4-(5-fluoro-3-mercaptophenyl)-4-methoxytetrahydropyran to give 4-[3-(1,3-dimethyl-2-oxo-2,3-dihydrobenzimidazol-5-ylthio)-5-fluorophenyl]-4-methoxytetrahydropyran in 60% yield, m.p. 128°-130° C.
