Procedure
1-(4-1,2-Benzisothiazol-3-yl-piperazin-1-yl)-2-(5-fluoro-2-nitro-phenyl)-ethanone was prepared according to the general method as outlined in Preparation 12 starting from 3-piperazin-1-yl-benzoisothiazole hydrochloride (1.31 g, 5.1 mmol) and (5-fluoro-2-nitro-phenyl)-acetic acid (800 mg, 4.3 mmol). The product was isolated via column chromatography to afford 870 mg of an off white foam. Yield 50%; mp 72° C.; MS (APCI): 401 [M+H]+.
