The title compound was prepared from ethyl 5-bromo-1-(4-methylbenzyl)-1H-indole-2-Carboxylate (step 1 of Example 1) and 3-methylphenylboronic acid in substantially the same manner, as described in step 2 of Example 1. The product was obtained as a solid. Mass spectrum (ESI, [M+H]+) m/z 384. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 7.95 (s, 1H), 7.63 (d, 1H, J=7.70 Hz), 7.60 (d, 1H, J=8.47 Hz), 7.48 (s, 1H), 7.44 (d, 1H, J=7.95 Hz), 7.39 (s, 1H), 7.33 (t, 1H, J=7.63 Hz), 7.14 (d, 1H, J=7.49 Hz), 7.07 (d, 2H, J=7.94 Hz), 6.93 (d, 2H, J=7.94 Hz), 5.82 (s, 2H), 4.29 (q, 2H, J=7.17 Hz), 2.37 (s, 3H), 2.21 (s, 3H), and 1.30 ppm (t, 3H, J=7.18 Hz).
