Reaction Steps

To a solution of the product from Example 139 (29 mg, 0.057 mmol) in dichloromethane (2 mL) and water (1 mL) cooled to 0° C. was added sulfamic acid followed by sodium chlorite. The reaction was left to stir, warming to room temperature over 2.5 hours. The layers were separated and the aqueous layer extracted further with dichloromethane. The combined organic layers were dried (MgSO4) and evaporated to a cream foam, which was purified by column chromatography on silica (50% ethyl acetate/49% dichloromethane/1% acetic acid) to obtain a white solid (10 mg).
