Procedure
To a stirred solution of the product from Example 151 (58 mg, 0.11 mmol) in dichloromethane (3 mL) and water (3 mL) at 0° C. was added sulfamic acid (44 mg, 0.44 mmol) and sodium chlorite (30 mg, 0.33 mmol). The reaction was allowed to attain room temperature with stirring over 3 hours, the layers separated and the aqueous layer extracted with further dichloromethane (5 mL). The combined organic layers were dried (MgSO4) and evaporated to leave a residue which was filtered through a plug of silica eluting with ether:dichloromethane:iso-hexane 1:1:3, then purified by column chromatography on silica eluting with ethyl acetate:dichloromethane 1:1 +1% acetic acid to afford the desired compound (40 mg).
