Following the procedure described for preparation of compound 229, and substituting tert-butyl bromomethyl acetate with 2,4-dimethoxybenzyl m-chloromethyl-benzoate, provided the title compound (26% over 2 steps) as a white solid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD): δ1.42 (3H, s), 2.79 (1H, d), 2.90 (1H, d), 5.2 (2H, m), 6.35 (1H, dd), 6.56 (1H, d); 6.60 (1H, d), 7.45 (2H, m), 7.97 (2H, m). MS (ESI) m/z 361.15 (M+H+) and 359.17 (M−H−).
