Procedure
A mixture of methyl 3-chloro-2-phenyl[1,2,4]triazolo[4′,3′:1,6]pyrido[2,3-b]pyrazine-9-carboxylate (11-2) (80 mg, 0.235 mmol) and ethylamine (2M in THF, 5 mL, 10 mmol) was stirred at room temperature for overnight. The solvent was evaporated and the residue was purified by column chromatography eluting with 0-20% EtOH in EtOAc to give 3-chloro-N-ethyl-2-phenyl[1,2,4]triazolo[4′,3′:1,6]pyrido[2,3-b]pyrazine-9-carboxamide (11-3).
