Procedure

The above alcohol was dissolved in EtOH (150 mL) and 10% Pd/C (˜500 mg) was added. The mixture was stirred under a H2 atmosphere (ballon) overnight. The catalyst was filtered off through celite and the filtrate was concentrated to give the title compound as a colorless oil.
