To a solution of 4-{[4-(2-benzyloxycarbonyl-2-methylpropoxy)phenyl]methyl}-1,2-dihydro-5-isopropyl-3H-pyrazol-3-one (0.25 g), acetobromo-α-D-glucose (0.48 g) and benzyltri(n-butyl)ammonium chloride (0.18 g) in dichloromethane (5 mL) was added 5 mol/L aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (0.35 mL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. The reaction mixture was purified by column chromatography on aminopropylated silica gel (eluent: n-hexane/ethyl acetate=1/1-1/3) to give the title compound (0.28 g).
