To a solution of the title compound of Step A (1.07 g, 5.9 mmol) in dichloromethane (15 mL) was added trimethyloxonium tetrafluoroborate (1.06 g, 7.1 mmol) and the mixture was stirred overnight at ambient temperature. Concentration gave the title compound of Step B as a white solid (1.7 g).
