Reaction Steps

A solution of the product from Example AB ((S)-2-[(azepane-1-carbonyl)-amino]-3-methyl-pentanoic acid) (0.50 g, 1.95 mmol) and the product from Example A ((S)-2-amino-3-(4-benzyloxy-phenyl)-propionic acid tert-butyl ester) (0.63 g, 1.95 mmol) were coupled according to the procedure described in Example AH. The crude reaction product was purified by chromatography (silica gel, 1:1 EtOAc/heptane) to give the title compound as a white foam, mp=53-57° C.
