Procedure

7.3 g (0.033 mole) of 2,3-epoxypropoxy-2-(1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-benzene from Example VII and 6.4 g (0.033 mole) of 2-methoxy-phenylpiperazine in 50 ml of ethanol are refluxed for 17 hours. The solvent is stripped off on a rotary evaporator and the oily residue is taken up in methylene chloride. The solution is washed with 3×50 ml of water, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtered and concentrated. 12.6 g (93% of theory) of a pale yellow oil are obtained.
