Procedure
A solution of 3,4-dichloro-5-methyl-N-piperidin-4-yl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxamide (Intermediate 90, 2.73 g, 10 mmol) and dimethyl cyanodithioimidocarbonate (1.61 g, 10 mmol) in dichloroethane was heated to reflux for 5 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated to an orange oil which was purified by flash chromatography on silica gel (gradient elution from 100% DCM to 5% MeOH in DCM). Pure fractions were combined to yield the title compound in 2.25 g (61%).
